Book Review: The E-Myth

Personally, I got a lot out of the E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber.  More specifically the first 150 pages.   With an average of 4.5 stars on 450 Amazon reviews, this is a must read book for entrepreneurs.  It brings awareness to what a business should be.  You don’t build build a business around yourself.  That’s selfish.  You build a business, so that it can thrive.

You can read the book reviews at Amazon.com here.

Now, let me  qualify this.  It’s a small business book, but it does a great job describing the relationship between the owner and his business.  After reading the E-Myth, I had a revelation:  most startups have a huge luck component (as opposed to a little luck).   For more on how to get lucky, you can read my post titled “Review of Bo Peabody’s “Lucky or Smart”

There are a lot of books that tell you to “do this” or “how to”; but the concepts, in this book, is relevant to all types of business.
