Competing on Brand

Brand is everything, except in one circumstance.  This circumstance is new, innovative and high demand products.

Think about this, if you want to buy a computer, you’re going to buy a household name, but if you’re looking flat screen TV 3 years ago, you would consider a Vizio.  Vizio came out of nowhere.  Now, they sell as many TVs as anyone.  Today, they would never pull it off b/c the market has filled the demand.

If you can’t spend millions building a brand, find a new product and fill the demand.
